Group Rentals
Bring your friends and experience the great game of curling with a group rental at the Detroit Curling Club! We are the only facility in Metropolitan Detroit that offers full-length ice and regulation stones, and we love sharing our facility and our sport with the public. Group rentals include all equipment and instruction. Rental times are available on select weekday mornings and afternoons, and periodically on weekends. Ice is available to rent by the “sheet”, with each sheet accommodating up to ten curlers.
Rental Session: A rental lasts 2.5 hours – this time includes a 30 minute off-ice safety presentation and approximately 2 hours of ice time.
Rates: Rental fees include instruction, equipment, and approximately 2 hours of ice time.
- Price per sheet rental for up to eight curlers:
- Weekdays (Non Prime/Holiday): $380
- Weekends + Prime/Holiday: $480
- Pricing may vary for peak dates and is reflected in the booking platform.
Deposit: At the time the reservation is made, a deposit of 20% per sheet will be required to hold your reservation. This will be deducted from your final bill.
Number of Sheets: Our reservation system automatically assigns the correct number of sheets based on the number of renters to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. Up to 10 renters = 1 sheet, 11-20 renters = 2 sheets, 21-30 renters = 3 sheets, 31-40 renters = 4 sheets.

School / Youth Group Rental Program
Introduce your students to the great Olympic sport of curling through a class trip to DCC! The Detroit Curling Club has a School/Youth Group Rental program that is available to schools or other youth organizations. This program offers reduced costs for curling instruction and games and includes all equipment and instruction.
Rental Times and Rates for the School/Youth Group Program:
All pricing includes up to eight (8) students per sheet
- Non-Holiday Weekdays: $200 per sheet
- Non-Holiday Weekends: $260 per sheet
- Pricing available Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30am only. Excludes all other times.
Excludes November 28-29, 2025 and December 23-31, 2025. Detroit Curling Club reserves the right to limit additional dates from youth pricing due to availability or demand.
Age and Numbers of Students: The minimum age is 11 years old. Our club has four sheets of ice, and each sheet of ice can accommodate up to eight children.
Adult Supervision: We require school/youth groups to provide adult supervision at a 1:4 ratio (1 adult per 4 children). Adults in a supervisory capacity are free-of-charge, but will still be required to sign a Release of Liability form.
School/Youth Group Deposit: We require a 20% deposit for your group regardless of group size, which can be paid via PayPal or check. See the Cancellations section for applicable policies.

Instructions for Group Ice Rental Requests
How to Make a Reservation:

Final Payment: Full payment may be made using the payment link in the confirmation email. Payment is due 7 days prior to your rental.
Cancellations: For cancellations made 7 days in advance of your rental, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. Reservations canceled less than 7 days and more than 3 days in advance of your rental, the deposit will not be refunded. For cancellations within 72 hours of your rental, 50% of the full rental fee will be charged.
Use of the Warm Room: The warm room may be used during your rental session. Extended use of the warm room requires prior approval, which will not always be possible and may be subject to additional fees.
Ages: All curlers must be 18 years or older, but minors between the ages of 11 and 17 may be allowed with prior approval. Please contact us in advance of your rental. School/Youth Groups automatically have approval for 11-17 year olds.
Release of Liability Forms: Each person who steps on the ice must sign a Release of Liability form with no exceptions; parents/guardians must sign for a minor.
What to Wear: We recommend loose-fitting clothing, a light jacket, hat, gloves, and clean tennis shoes or sneakers. The arena temperature is usually around 38 degrees F.
Food and Beverages: There is no food or beverage service provided by the Club, but guests are allowed to bring non-alcoholic beverages and snacks into the warm room.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch their group from the warm room at no charge during their rental period.
