Renting The Ice
The Club is Closed for the Summer. Please check the Rental Section of our website in September for available dates and times for 2008 - 2009 season.
Our ice and clubhouse is available for rent by non member groups that would like to include the sport of curling in their activities calendar. Church groups, business employee appreciation days, social clubs and individuals wanting to plan a fun night for their friends are some of the groups that have used our facilities.
The ice is rented by the playing lanes of which the club has four lanes (curling term is sheet) . Each sheet has maximum of 8 players (32 players at any one time in the curling arena). Rental time per event is two hours with additional time for curling instruction, all equipment is included.
In addition our club has a clubhouse area with viewing glass for observing the ice activities. Those in your group who would like to just watch the fun can do so from this area of our facility.
Rates / Information for 2007-2008 Season
$22 per person with instructor/equipment. If your group knows how to curl the instructor fee is waived and the cost per person is $20. Age: 18 Years of age or older (12 -17 year olds can participate if accompanied by parent). Payment may be made by cash or check. The Club does not accept credit cards.
What to Wear
Loose fitting clothing (i.e. jogging pants), short jacket, hat, gloves, CLEAN tennis shoes (we request that you carry in the shoes you will be using on the ice). The arena temp is usually around 40 degrees.
Beverages/Food
There is no food service provided by the club, but your group can bring in food from an outside vendor. Soft drinks, juice, water can be bought from our beverage counter.
There is NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. The Club Liquor License is for members only.
Arrival Time
Rental times on the calendar are when the 2 hours ice time start. Your group will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your ice time for off ice instruction.

Weekday rentals are available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 2 pm or 1 to 3 pm. E-mail us at detroitcurling@yahoo.com for specific weekday availability.
AS OF March 25, 2008 ALL ICE TIME HAS BEEN BOOKED FOR THE REST OF THIS SEASON. PLEASE CHECK BACK WITH US STARTING IN SEPTEMBER OF 2008 FOR AVAILABLE DATES AND TIMES FOR THE 2008/2009 SEASON.
Please choose at least two dates/times and email your requested rental dates for the 2007-2008 curling season.
