**DCC COVID POLICY**

Masks are not required on or off the ice at the Detroit Curling Club at this time. Members are welcome to wear masks if desired. We encourage all members to practice social distancing. If you feel sick in any way, please stay home. If you test positive for COVID, please follow the CDC guidelines (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html) for isolation and mask-wearing, and please notify your draw master and any individuals you were in close contact with. We will not be checking proof of vaccination for the upcoming season at this time. This policy will comply with the City of Ferndale’s published COVID requirement and the DCC Board may modify the COVID policy and guidelines at any time if required.

Senior Men’s One Day Bonspiel

The Detroit Curling Club Chuck Thomas Memorial Senior Men’s One Day Bonspiel takes place on December 13, 2023. Tier 55 and over. First draw is at 8:00 am, $160 per team, and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks with a 2-game guarantee.

Detroit Men’s International Bonspiel

January 5-7, 2024

The Detroit Curling Club Men’s International Bonspiel is one of the area’s longest-standing events with the first event held in 1897.

Some of the Detroit Curling Club’s most prized artifacts include the trophies presented to the winners at this event. Competitive curling, camaraderie, and longtime friendships amongst participants continue to make this one of the most sought-after curling events in the region.

Registration opens on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at noon.

Ladies International Bonspiel

February 3-4, 2024

The Detroit Curling Club Ladies International Bonspiel takes place February 3-4. $380 per team includes continental breakfast on both days, lunch and dinner Saturday, costume contest, raffle, and kitschy fun Saturday night, and lunch on Sunday. This is a USWCA circuit event and each team has a 3-game guarantee.

Mixed International Bonspiel

February 17-18, 2024

This event includes breakfast and lunch on both days plus dinner, a costume contest, and dancing Saturday night. $380 per team and includes a 3-game guarantee.

Motown Doubles Bonspiel

March 15-17, 2024

“What’s going on” at the DCC? Why it’s the Motown Doubles Bonspiel. “It takes two” to enter this event. This is an open doubles format spiel so you can have “My girl,” “My guy,” or really anyone as your teammate. “I heard it through the grapevine” that the spiel will be held Friday March 15-Sunday March 17.

Friday draws will be late morning/early afternoon with your evening free. There is a 3-game guarantee.

We “Ain’t too proud to beg” to get you to sign up. So, “Get ready” and “Let’s get it on”.

Junior Friendly Bonspiel

April 27th, 2024

Please join us Saturday, April 27th, 2023 for an awesome end-of-season junior bonspiel. We will play three games starting at 10 am and the event will be done by 6:00 pm. Light breakfast, lunch, and prizes will be provided. The cost is $25 per curler and you can sign up as a team or individual. The event is geared towards kids ages 10-18.

Motor City Open Cup Bonspiel

May 3-5, 2024

$440 per team, 3-game guarantee, dinner Friday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday, breakfast, and lunch on Sunday.

The MCO Cup will be a chance for the Detroit Curling Club to play against the rest of the curling world. The winner will be determined between DCC vs all other participating curling clubs. This will be a point spiel, teams will be re-seeded after each round for the next round’s same-seed matchups.

Bonspiel t-shirts will be provided to participants to identify DCC curlers and non-DCC curlers.
