Learn to Curl

Thank you for your interest in the Detroit Curling Club's Learn to Curl program. Registration is now open and space is limited, so please register ASAP!

This course consists of three session that will run on three Saturdays. We run classes so that you get a good mix of classroom talk and ice time. There's so much to the game - both on and off the ice - and we'd like you to get a feel for that. The first two classes will be mostly instruction. The last class, you will be placed on a curling team and actually play an entire game! This will give you a chance to meet our members and see just how cool we are! Not only that, but refreshments are included!

Online Registration

Cost: The cost for the three-session course is $65.

What to wear: We ask that people wear warm, comfortable clothes (athletic pants and sweatshirts, hats, gloves, etc) and bring clean tennis shoes. Please no fleece or jeans.

What to expect: I don't know if you've ever curled before, but it's a blast! Fair warning though - it can be addicting. The sport itself is great, the people are great, and it's great exercise. The physical act of throwing a stone is unlike anything you've probably ever done before, so sometimes muscles that haven't been used in a while are awakened and not very happy. We will do some stretching before we go out on the ice.
