The Detroit Curling Club is one of the oldest curling clubs in the United States and the oldest athletic club in Michigan. Founded in 1885, the club is a volunteer organization that provides members and guests opportunities to curl and participate in a variety of social activities. Various membership classifications are available and depend on an individual's involvement in the club.

Current membership is about 300, ranging in age from 12 to 95. Our facilities include a comfortable clubhouse/viewing room, bar, four sheets of dedicated curling ice, locker rooms, and ample parking.

Our season runs from mid-October to mid-April. We offer a variety of league play for men, women, mixed, seniors, juniors, collegiate, and open curling. We host bonspiels (tournaments) as well as national and regional national competitions and offer rentals and community education.

The Detroit Curling Club is a member of The Great Lakes Curling Association, the United States Curling Association, the U.S. Women's Curling Association and the Ontario Curling Association. When you join the club, you also become a member of these organizations. These affiliations give you opportunities to participate in bonspiels across the U.S. and Canada. You are also eligible to compete in the U.S. National Curling Championships, U.S. National Club Championships, Senior Championships and Olympics.

Throughout the season, we offer a variety of leagues on weekdays, organized competitions on weekends and annual special events including the Opening Party, Christmas Party, Champagne Spiel, golf outing and picnic.
